Shooting a live-action concert event requires the photographer to capture the energy and excitement of the performer(s) and bring the viewer in to the experience. Although I can't be positive, it appears that you had the opportunity to move closer to the stage. This would have enabled you to isolate the lead singer without the distraction of concert-goers heads and allowed you to capture his expression and artistry while he was singing. If moving closer was not an option for you, consider investing in a telephoto or zoom lens that will bring the action closer, allowing you more options to compose a tighter shot. Once you have addressed the challenge of capturing a more compelling composition, we can move on to the post-process opportunities that will follow. Shooting live concerts can be very rewarding, keep working to improve your game!
